The Inn at Stonecliffe

"This is a five star resort facility that pays attention to the details. Beautiful views of the lake and bridge throughout the property (and from some of the rooms). Very attentive, friendly, professional, and polite staff. Lawn games for all ages, pool, on-site restaurant and bar (excellent food and cocktails), general store, close to the Woods Golf Course (Grand Hotels back 9 course), on site bike rental, and so much more. You are going to pay a bit more to stay here compared to a few other hotels on the island but it is well worth it! If you are thinking about Stonecliffe or another Big Hotel down the street, treat yourself and stay at Stonecliffe. We have stayed at that other Big Hotel and given my choice I would choose Stonecliffe every time!!!!! If you are new to traveling to Mackinac Island, this resort is not part of the downtown area. The property is located about a mile and half from the boat docks but they provide a horse and carriage that will transport you and your luggage to the property (and back to the boat when you leave). If you want to head back downtown during your visit to the island, there is an on-site bike rental or (for a fee) you can take a horse and carriage taxi ride back downtown. I also appreciated the concept of how this hotel dedicates 100% of net profits to charitable causes. Stonecliffe does it right and will provide you with an experience to remember."

"This was our first time staying at The Inn at Stonecliffe, but will be far from our last. It was truly the most incredible hotel/resort experience we have ever had. The grounds were stunning, with plenty of activities, space to enjoy quiet time, watch the most incredible sunsets and have just an absolutely peaceful stay. The staff are second-to-none. They were knowledgeable, warm, and a delight to interact with. The dining options made it hard to want to go downtown because of the quality we enjoyed. Every meal was an experience and enhanced the stay every time we dined. We started planning our next trip to Stonecliffe before the first one was even over. It will absolutely be our go-to lodging option on the island for years to come."

"The staff and accommodations were top notch. In our opinion, the service and food were excellent! The Director of Rooms went out of his way to address our questions about our bill, emailing us multiple times with the details we needed to verify all was correct. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to get away from the more "touristy" parts of the island."
